Rotations win more fights in Modern Warfare 4 than raw aim ever will. When a lane gets noisy, smart players stop staring at it and start moving. A Bot Lobby MW4 session can be useful for learning those quieter cut-throughs, but the real test is spotting when the other team has tunnel vision.
Move Fast, Then Settle Down

Tac Sprint is great for crossing a dead stretch of map, not for charging straight into the next doorway. Use it in short bursts. Cross the open bit, ease off, then let your weapon come back up before you hit the corner. Sounds basic, yet loads of players arrive half-ready and lose a fight they should've owned.
The best flank usually begins while your teammates are making a mess somewhere else. Let them pull eyes toward the objective. You're not trying to cover the whole map; you're taking one useful route with a clear exit. If the route feels too quiet for too long, slow down. Someone may already be waiting.
What Most Squads Get Wrong

The Meta: Most squads stack the lane nearest the active objective.
The Snag: One predictable push leaves every side route exposed.
The Fix: Arrive late, clear one angle, then pinch with teammates.
Reality check: A fancy flank means nothing if nobody on your team is alive to make the enemy look forward.
Route Choices That Actually Matter

Think of planted Riot Shields as little pause points, not permanent shelters. They can break a long rotation into safer chunks, especially when bullets are coming through a busy crossing. The difference is simple: one route gets you there quickly, the other gets you there ready.
Route typeBest momentMain risk
Outer laneEnemy locked on objectiveLong sightlines
Mid cutTeammates holding front pressureCrossfire from windows
Shield routeLate rotation under fireSlow recovery after sprint
Call the route after it works, even if it feels obvious. "Two came through the side hall" is enough. Next round, a teammate can mirror it or hold the exit while you take the wider loop. That's when a one-off play turns into actual team pressure.
The Question People Keep Asking

A lot of players wonder whether flanking still works when opponents start watching every doorway and playing slower.
It does, but don't force it. Fake the rotation, wait a beat, then hit the route after their attention drifts.
Keep Them Looking the Wrong Way

Good rotation pressure isn't about being miles behind the enemy. It's about arriving from somewhere they stopped respecting. Watch the kill feed, listen for gunfire, and move when their focus is clearly elsewhere. If you want extra time to learn the map's timings, buy CoD MW4 Bot Lobby access and practise the routes until each turn feels natural in a live match.
